For party favors,
harvest-colored jellybeans
are tucked into dear
bags and nestled inside
cornhusks (available at
specialty grocery stores
and most markets in
autumn). Janna fills clear
containers with corn, nuts,
and birdseed to announce
fall on her porch,

She chooses pumpkins
that are soft green, pale
orange, and white. “I can
keep them on my table
well past Thanksgiving and
they don’t scream leftover
Halloween,”’she says.
